While we've titled this page "Infoceuticals vs. Homeopathy," the purpose of this article isn't to set them in opposite camps, but to point out the similarities and differences between them.
To give some background, Steve initially began his holistic studies in homeopathy and has a good theoretical background into how homeopathic remedies are meant to work. He does NOT consider homeopathy to be a chemical medicine, but an energy medicine -- in other words, homeopathy works on the quantum biofield as any energy medicine does, and as other legitimate forms of vibrational healing do.
THOUGHTS ON DISEASE
To give a picture of how homeopathy and Infoceuticals work, it's useful to briefly discuss disease. From the Western medical perspective, disease generally has to do with chemistry -- with the distortion of molecules within our cells which in turn cause our cells to malfunction, which translates up to tissues, organs, and systems within the body.
Sometimes these molecular problems arise from chemical origins -- for instance, if you were to take mercury as a medicine (as people did once upon a time, but we now know that it's highly, highly toxic), the mercury would cause all sorts of molecular damage and would make you ill. As a SECONDARY effect, this may distort the quantum biofield, which could perpetuate an illness, even if you stopped with the mercury and the primary damage it caused to the body.
On the other hand, the quantum biofield can be distorted in any number of ways: from our thoughts and emotions, for one thing; but also from many environmental factors, such as gravitational and electro-magnetic waves.
The biofield is an information field (as understood within quantum physics), and it interacts in such a way with the body's chemistry that, if it is distorted, the chemistry will be too. So as long as the biofield remains distorted, a person may experience chronic illness. To summarize, then, illness CAN be caused by physical or chemical factors, but it can also be caused by mental, emotional, and quantum factors, and can be PERPETUATED due to distortions in the biofield.
The biofield itself is constantly in fluxuation because our environment is always changing. So we believe that there can be temporary distortions that correct themselves. But at other times, a distortion in the biofield may become chronic, at which point it will require quantum healing -- either through quantum medicine (energy or information medicine) or other vibrational healing methods. This is where both homeopathy and Infoceuticals come in.
HOMEOPATHY
First, it's important to note that various homeopathic practitioners believe that homeopathy works in different ways. Our explanation is based on theoretical studies of the matter brought into context by a modern understanding of quantum medicine. We understand that not all homeopaths will agree with the following while others will. Some homeopaths even consider homeopathy to still be a chemical medicine, despite the fact that it is diluted to the point of leaving no molecules of the original substance.
Acting on the principle of similarities, homeopathy takes its own, unique approach to vibrational healing. Let's imagine that there is a distortion to the biofield that the field is not reacting strongly enough to in order to correct itself. Homeopathy comes in with a vibration as similar as possible to the disease vibration in order to trigger the appropriate, healing response of the biofield. If the practitioner is able to correctly analyze what is wrong with the biofield and choose the appropriate homeopathic remedy, the biofield will hopefully respond correctly and throw off (so to speak) the disease vibration.
INFOCEUTICALS
Infoceuticals take a different approach to vibrational healing. Rather than trying to stimulate the biofield, hoping that it will provide an accurate response for healing itself (the indirect approach of homeopathy), it simply goes in with the correct vibration or information and stimulates the biofield to correct itself directly.
I use the following analogy to explain: if you wanted to score well on a test and the teacher said that she would either give you hints to the right answer or would give you the answers themselves, which would you prefer? We believe that, by providing the answers, Infoceuticals offer a more precise approach to healing.
Another benefit to this approach is that analysis is based on objective testing, which speeds up the process of follow-up appointments and doesn't rely on the memory of a client (in terms of addressing past traumas, for instance) or the failure of a client to recognize certain signs or symptoms within herself. (How often do we get so used to a condition that we forget about it most of the time?) Of course the personal touch is still involved, as an experienced practitioner may choose to modify the Infoceuticals he recommends based on a client's particular circumstances.
An Infoceutical protocol also places substantial emphasis on environmental factors, which is critical in this age of electro-magnetic and other frequencies bombarding us from every direction. It's also important because of the speed at which we move around, which affects our biofield relationships with the fields of the Earth itself (rotational fields, gravitional fields, etc.). These are stresses that had less impact when Hahnemann first worked with homeopathy because our lifestyles were vastly different 200 years ago.
THE BOTTOM LINE
All of this explains why we decided to use Infoceuticals as part of our practice rather than homeopathy -- as the founders of NES (well-versed in homeopathy and other holistic methods) themselves feel, we believe it is a step beyond homeopathy. But we also understand that homeopathy can be powerful in its own right, and we highly encourage people to visit qualified homoepathic practitioners, especially when NES practitioners are not available in their area. Indeed, Infoceuticals are still quite new (having been introduced in 2004) and are not widely available. We are glad to make them so, however, in the Rochester, Michigan area.
