Holistic Health Supplements

If you're on the lookout for holistic health supplements, by definition, you're after something that takes the wellness of the whole body into account. This doesn’t mean handing the body everything it could possibly need, but handing it something that is beneficial in certain areas and does no harm in other areas.

While a lot of health supplements today would like to be considered holistic in this way, most are not. And yes, I include the ones that claim to be all-natural supplements.

First of all, let's get drug store supplements — vitamins and minerals included — out of the way. Don't buy them. Just don't. Read enough of my articles, you'll know that I'm not a pushy person, and in the end, it comes down to your choice. But education is always important before making a choice, and that's why I write as many educational articles as I can. But I'm pretty emphatic about drug store supplements, because I believe that taking them can really do you some harm.

Drug store supplements are going to have many of the same problems as most natural supplements, but they'll also have more. Sometimes the nutrients themselves are synthetic, which means you're providing it with something it doesn't know how to handle. This leads to sticking synthetics into muscles, joints, and other tissues that would really prefer not to have this kind of nonsense filler.

And speaking of nonsense fillers, that's another problem with drug store supplements. They often include harmful fillers, artificial colors, and other unhealthy ingredients. Now why on earth would you take a supplement that dished you things like this? I tell my clients that if drug store supplements are all they have the money to buy, they're better off saving their money. I believe these supplements will often do more harm than good.

Obviously this is my opinion, and the chemists at these companies (perhaps a touch swayed by bias) would argue differently. But my opinion is based on a good deal of research, and I know a lot of chemists who would argue for my opinion too.

But even so-called natural supplements — including many reputable brands — have their problems. First, they still tend to chemically extract the nutrients they're after. Even coming from natural sources, they have taken the nutrients out of their natural environment, losing important co-factors (that tell the body how to use them) and the appropriate balance with other nutrients that are naturally in the food source.

Second, most of the liquid nutritional supplements on the market are either pasteurized (which distorts quantum and enzymatic elements of the food), or preserved (some people can have allergies even to natural preservatives, and other problems are possible), or both. There's only one liquid supplement I know of whose formula allows it to avoid both. (See below.)

When you're looking for truly holistic health supplements, you want supplements that carefully balance all the nutrients so that they're in natural ratios; you want the nutrients meddled with as little as possible — that means the less heat or cold, the better; in short, you want them in as close to a food state as possible. If you can find supplements actually labeled "food state," you've struck nutritional-supplement gold.

We carry only the best nutritional supplements we can find, and really are looking for those that satisfy our strict reading of holistic supplements. intraMAX (and the others in its family) is the only liquid supplement we highly recommend. We carry food state vitamins, minerals, and probiotic green foods (including Prime Directive and gluten-free NuFerm) from Living Foods USA.

We also carry Cellfood, which we don't consider food state. It has its own purpose within our work, which is to oxygenate the body. And it does so in an extremely safe manner, which many oxygen supplements don't do because of the FORM of oxygen, so be forewarned! But in our effort to educate, we're careful not to misname it as food state. We still believe that its benefits are extraordinary, and if you want to invest 45 minutes of your time to learn about an amazing nutritional supplement, click on the Cellfood link above and watch a professional presentation on it.
